Brinjal-5
Mustard-1/4tabespoon
Cumin-1/4tabespoon
Curry leaves-few
Turmeric powder-1/4tabespoon
Tamarind/Tamarind paste-1/4cup
Coriander leaves-few
Salt-as required
Oil-3 tablespoon
For Grinding
Red chilli-15
Coriander seeds/Coriander powder-2 tablespoon
Fenugreek-1/4tabespoon
Cumin-1/2tablespoon
Mustard-1/4tabespoon
Peanut-25
Method
- Dry roast all the ingredients for grinding and make a coarse powder out of it.
- Heat oil,add mustard,cumin,curry leaves.
- When it starts popping,add brinjal,turmeric,salt.
- Cook until the brinjal until 1/2 done,add the grounded powder,little water,tamarind.
- Allow it to boil until brinjal is fully done.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
Tip
This gravy can be served with chapathi,roti,rice.
