Ribbon Pakoda


Ingredients
Rice flour-2cups
Besan flour-1cup
Butter/Ghee-2tablespoon
Salt-as required
Oil-3cups

For Grinding
Garlic-4pods
Ginger-a small pod
Fennel-1tablespoon
Red chilli-5 or 6

Method
  • Grind all the ingredients into fine paste.
  • Mix rice flour,besan flour,salt,butter/ghee,grinded paste and knead the dough(dough shouldnt be too watery).
  • In murukku press,place the pakoda plate(one which has two lines),load the dough and press directly in hot oil,deep fry it until it turns brown.
Tip
Chilli powder alone can be added instead of grinded paste in order to reduce the spicy flavor.
