Broccoli Poriyal


Ingredients
Broccoli-1
Mustard-1/4tablespoon
Urad dhal-1/4tablespoon
Onion-1
Tomato Paste(Grinded Tomato)-5tablespoon
Ginger Garlic paste-1/2tablespoon
Chilli powder-1tablespoon
Turmeric powder-a  pinch
Coconut Gratings-1/4cup
Corriander leaves-few
Curry leaves-few
Salt-as required
Oil-1tablespoon

Method
  • Cut Broccoli into small florets.
  • Boil broccoli with turmeric powder,salt in water for about 5mins.
  • Drain the water and add little cold water to retain its colour.
  • In a pan,add oil,mustard,urad dhal.
  • When it starts popping,add onion,gignger garlic paste,curry leaves.
  • When onion gets transparent,add tomato paste(grinded tomato),chilli powder.
  • When tomatoes gets mushy add broccoli,salt and cook until it is fully done.
  • Garnish with grated coconut,corriander leaves and mix well.
