Idli Rice-2cups
Urad dhal-1/2cup
Fenugreek-1/2tablespoon
Salt-as required
For masala
Potato-2
Onion-1
Tomato-1
Curry leaves-few
Green chillies-2
Mustard-1/4tablespoon
Urad dhal-1/4tablespoon
Channa dhal-1/4tablespoon
Cumin-1/4tablespoon
Garlic-2 n.o
Turmeric powder-1/4tablespoon
Corriander leaves-few
Salt-as required
Oil-2tablespoon
Method
Dosa
- Soak rice and urad dhal,fenugreek in water for 4hours seperately.
- Grind it into fine paste.
- Ferment the batter for 1day.
- Peel the skin of potatoes and boil in water until soft.
- In a kadai,add oil,mustard,urad dhal,cumin,channa dhal,garlic.
- When it starts popping,add onion,green chillies,curry leaves.
- When onion gets transparent then add tomato,turmeric powder.
- Add boiled potatoes when tomatoes gets mushy.
- Cook until the potatoes gets fully binded with sauted masala.
- Garnish with corriander leaves.
- Heat tawa,apply oil.
- Pour one big ladle of batter at the center and spread it out.
- Pour a tablespoon of oil around the dosa.
- Place a spoon of potato masala on the center of dosa.
- Fold the dosa and remove it,do not flip the other side.
Tip
This dosa can be served with sambar and coconut chutney.
