Keerai Poriyal (spinach)

Ingredients
Spinach-1 bunch
Toordhal-5 tablespoon
Grated coconut-3 tablespoon
Onion chopped-1/2
Green chillies-3
Mustard seed-1 tablespoon
Urad dhal-1 tablespoon
Salt-as required
Oil-2tablespoon

Method
  • Chop spinach into fine pieces
    Cook toor dhal in water until soft or pressure cook toor dhal until soft.
  • In a pan add oil then add mustard and urad dhal.
  • Add onion and green chillies saute it for few seconds. Dont fry it for long time.
  • Add spinach, keep it in the low flame.
  • No need to add water,once spinach is cooked, add toor dhal and coconut,mix it well.
