Yam fry(Senakilangu fry)

Ingredients
Yam(Senakilangu)-1cup
Oil-4tablespoon
Fennel-1/4tablespoon
Turmeric powder-1/2tablespoon
Salt-as required

For Grinding
Curry leaves-few
Corriander leaves-few
Ginger-a small pod
Garlic-2pods
Fennel-1/4tablespoon
Red chilli-4


Method
  • Cut Yam into cubes and boil in water with turmeric powder until it is half cooked.
  • In a kadai,pour oil,add fennel.
  • When it starts popping add the grinded paste,fry until the raw smell goes off.
  • Now add the boiled yam.Fry till it becomes crispy.
Tip
Yam can also be fried with chilli,turmeric and ginger garlic paste.
