Chicken Biriyani


Ingredients
Chicken-1lb
Basmati Rice-1cup
Bay leaves-2
Onion-1
Tomato-1
Green chillies-5 or 6
Ginger Garlic paste-1/2tablespoon
Curry leaves-1bunch
Mint leaves-1/2 bunch
Chilli powder-1/2tablespoon
Biryani powder (Any brand)-1tablespoon
Yogurt-4tablespoon
Lemon-1/2
Salt-as required

For Grinding
Cinnamon-3sticks
Cloves-3sticks
Cardamon-2
Shajeera-1/4tablespoon

Method
  • Soak rice for 30minutes.
  • Fry the rice till it become seperate,keep it aside.
  • Heat oil and ghee together.
  • Add the grinded paste,when the raw smell goes off.
  • Add onion, fry until it turns brown,add ginger garlic paste, green chillies,tomato and salt. cook for 5 mins.
  • Add corriander leaves, pudina leaves, chilli powder, biryani powder and add chicken pieces. leave it till it half cooked.
  • In a rice cooker add rice,2 cups water, 1tablespoon ghee, sauted gravy, lime juice.
  • Garnish with corriander leaves.
