Ingredients
Oil-2tablespoon
Garlic-2 pods
Onion-1
Carrot-1
Cabbage-1/2
Potato-1
Tomato-1
Red chilli-5 or 6
Turmeric powder-1/4tablespoon
Salt-as required
Basmati Rice-1cup
Method
- Soak Basmathi rice for about 15mins then cook it in rice cooker.
- In a pan,add 1tablespoon of oil,fry garlic,red chilli until it turns brown and grind it to coarse powder.
- All the vegetables,onion,tomato should be chopped finely.
- Heat oil in kadai, add the grinded paste, when it's raw smell goes off, add onion,turmeric powder.
- When onion gets transparent,add the vegetables chopped.
- When the vegetables are half done add chopped tomatoes,salt.
- Cook until the vegetables are fully done.
- Garnish with corriander leaves.
- Mix it with cooked rice.
Tip
This variety rice can be served with cucumber,carrot raita.
