Tomato Thokku


Ingredients
Tomato-10
Onion-3
Garlic-3pods
Red chilli-6
Turmeric powder-1tablespoon
Oil-5tablespoon
Salt-as required

Method
  • In a kadai,pour oil,add tomatoes and fry them until the skin peels off.
  • Pour,1 tablespoon oil and fry the red chillies.
  • Grind the red chillies into fine powder.
  • Mash the tomatoes after peeling off the skin.
  • Finely chop onions,garlic.
  • In a kadai,pour oil,add chopped garlic,fry till it turns brown.
  • Add onion and bit of salt,when the onions get transparent add grinded red chilli,turmeric powder mashed tomatoes,keep adding oil.
  • Cook until the raw smell goes off.
Tip
This gravy can be served with idli,chapathi or even mixed with plain rice.
