Pinto Beans curry(Rajma)



Ingredients
Pinto beans-1cup
Oil-3tablespoon
Fennel-1/4tablespoon
Cumin-1/4tablespoon
Grenchilli-2
Corriander powder-1tablespoon
Chilli powder-1tablespoon
Corriander leaves-few
Salt-as required

For Grinding
Onion-1
Tomato-3
Garam masala-1tablespoon






Method
  • Soak pinto beans and boil them until they are half cooked or use canned pinto beans.
  • In a kadai,pour oil,saute onion,garam masala,tomato.
  • Grind them into fine paste.
  • In another kadai,pour oil,add fennel,cumin,when they start popping add green chilli.
  • Add the grinded paste,once when the raw smell goes off,add chilli,corriander powder,salt.
  • Add the boiled pinto beans,2cups of water.
  • Cook until the pinto beans are fully done.
  • Garnish with corriander leaves.
Tip
This recepie can be served with Chappathi,Roti,Naan,Paratha.
