Ingredients
Surakkai/Bottle gourd-1
Onion-1
Tomato-1
Cumin-1/4tablespoon
Fennel-1/4tablespoon
Ginger Garlic paste-1/2 tablespoon
Green chilli-2 or 3
Curry Leaves-few
Turmeric powder-1/4tablespoon
Corriander powder-1tablespoon
Garam masala-1/2tablespoon
Coconut paste-4tablespoon
Corriander leaves-few
Oil-2tablespoon
Salt-as required
Method
- Chop surakkai(Bottle gourd)into small cubes.
- In a kadai,add oil,cumin,fennel.
- When it starts popping,add onion,curry leaves,green chilli,ginger garlic paste.
- When onion turns brown,add surrakkai(Bottle gourd),turmeric powder,corriander,garam masala and tomatoes.
- Cook until all the water from the vegetable comes out.
- Add one cup of water and allow the vegetable to cook.
- When the vegetables are soft add coconut paste and cook for few minutes.
- Garnish with corriander leaves.
