Potato Masala


Ingredients
Potato-2
Oil-2tablespoon
Onion-1
Tomato-1/2
Mustard-1/4tablespoon
Urad dhal-1/4tablespoon
Cumin-1/4tablespon
Channa dhal-1/4tablespoon
Green chilli-2 or 3
Curry Leaves-few
Turmeric powder-1/4tablespoon
Corriander Leaves-few
Salt-as required

Method
  • Peel the skin of potatoes and boil it until it is soft.
  • Mash the potatoes.
  • In a kadai,add oil,mustard,urad dhal,cumin,channa dhal.
  • When it starts popping,add the green chillies,curry leaves,onion.
  • When the onion gets transparent,add tomato,turmeric powder.
  • When tomato is half cooked,add the mashed potatoes.
  • Cook until potatoes mix well with the masala. 
  • Garnish with corriander leaves.
Tip
This recepie can be served as side dish for puri,chappathi.
