Cabbage Dhal poriyal


Ingredients
Cabbage
Moong dhal-3tablespoon
Onion-1/2
Green chilli-2
Mustard-1/4tablespoon
Urad dhal-1/4tablespoon
Cumin-1/4tablespoon
Curry leaves-few
Grated coconut-3tablespoon
Oil-2tablespoon
Salt-as required

Method
  • Chop onion,green chilli and cabbage into fine pieces.
  • Boil moong dhal in water until it becomes soft.
  • In a kadai,add oil,mustard,urad dhal,cumin.
  • When starts popping add onion,green chilli,curry leaves.
  • Add cabbage when onion gets transparent.
  • Keep it in low flame and cook until all the water from cabbage comes out.
  • Add boiled dhal and cook for another few minutes.
  • Garnish with coconut gratings.

Tip
This recepie can also be done with channa dhal(Boil channa dhal with a pinch of turmeric until soft and mix it at the end).
