Ingredients
CabbageMoong dhal-3tablespoon
Onion-1/2
Green chilli-2
Mustard-1/4tablespoon
Urad dhal-1/4tablespoon
Cumin-1/4tablespoon
Curry leaves-few
Grated coconut-3tablespoon
Oil-2tablespoon
Salt-as required
Method
- Chop onion,green chilli and cabbage into fine pieces.
- Boil moong dhal in water until it becomes soft.
- In a kadai,add oil,mustard,urad dhal,cumin.
- When starts popping add onion,green chilli,curry leaves.
- Add cabbage when onion gets transparent.
- Keep it in low flame and cook until all the water from cabbage comes out.
- Add boiled dhal and cook for another few minutes.
- Garnish with coconut gratings.
This recepie can also be done with channa dhal(Boil channa dhal with a pinch of turmeric until soft and mix it at the end).
