Poondu Kulambu(Garlic Curry)



Ingredients
Poondu (Garlic)-1 clove 
Onion-1
Tomato-1
Chilli powder1 tablespoon 
Coriander powder1 tablespoon 
Turmeric powder-1/2 tablespoon 
Sambar powder-1/2 tablespoon
Tamarind paste-1 tablespoon 
Coconut-1/4 cup 
Mustard seed-1/4tablespoon
Urad dhal-1/4tablespoon
Cumin-1/4tablespoon
Salt-as required

Method
  • In a kadai add oil,mustard,urad dhal,cumin,hing,onion,garlic,tomato,and salt fry until it becomes soft.
  • Add turmeric,chili,sambar,corriander powder and tamarind paste.
  • Allow it to boil for 5 mins.
  • Grind coconut and cumin into fine paste.
  • Add the paste to the curry.
  • Cook foranother 5 mins.
  • Add 1 tablespoon ghee (optional)
Tip
This goes well with hot rice.
