Ingredients
Toordhal(Thuvaram paruppu)-1/2cup
Oil-1tablespoon
Mustard-1/2tablespoon
Urad dhal-1/2tablespoon
Cumin seeds-1/2tablespoon
Redchilli-1 or 2 depending on the size
Curry leaves-few
Garlic-2pods
Onion-1
Hing-a pinch
Turmeric powder-1/4tablespoon
Salt-as required
Method
- Boil toor dhal with garlic,hing,turmeric powder in pressure cooker until it gets fully boiled.
- Heat oil in kadai,add mustard seeds when it starts popping add urad dhal,cumin,redchilli,curry leaves.
- Then,add chopped onion, when it gets transparent add the boiled toor dhal,salt.
- Allow it to boil for another 5minutes.
- Garnish with corriander leaves.
Tip
Chopped tomato can be added if more gravy is required.
