Keera Kulambu(Spinach curry)



Ingredients
Toordhal(Thuvaram paruppu)-1/2cup
Spinach(Keera)-1bunch
Oil-1tablespoon
Mustard-1/2tablespoon
Urad dhal-1/2tablespoon
Cumin seeds-1/2tablespoon
Sambar powder-2tablespoon
Curry leaves-few
Garlic-2pods
Onion-1
Tomato-1
Hing-a pinch
Turmeric powder-1/4tablespoon
Tamarind paste-1/4tablespoon
Salt-as required


Method
  • Boil toor dhal with garlic,hing,turmeric powder in pressure cooker until it gets fully boiled.
  • Heat oil in kadai,add mustard seeds when it starts popping add urad dhal,cumin,curry leaves.
  • Then,add chopped onion, when it gets transparent,add tomato, spinach once it gets half cooked add sambar powder,allow it to boil,once if it is boiled add toor dhal,tamarind juice,salt.
  • Allow it to boil for another 10minutes.
