Chicken Rasam


Ingredients
Chicken-1/2 lb
Pearl onion- 6 to 7 
Green chillies-3 
Chilli powder-1/2 tablespoon 
Dhania-1 tablespoon 
Garlic flakes-2 
Ginger-1/2
Cloves-2 
Cinnamon-2 
Fennelseed-1/2 tablespoon 
Poppy seeds1/2 tablespoon
Black pepper1/2 tablespoon 
Cumin seed1 tablespoon 
Big Tomatoes-2 
Lemon-1/2 
Corriander leaves-few
Curry leaves-few

For Grinding
Onion
Dhania-1 tablespoon
Garlic flakes-2 
Green chilli
Ginger-1/2pod
Cloves-2 
Cinnamon-2 
Fennel-1/2 tablespoon 
Poppy seeds1/2 tablespoon 
Cumin-1 tablespoon 
Black pepper1/2 tablespoon 

For Seasoning
Mustard seed-1/4tablespoon
Hing-a pinch
Curry leaves-few

Method
  • In a pan, add oil or ghee and add grounded paste. Fry it for 2-3 mins.
  • In a bowl add chicken,tomatoes,turmeric powder,chilli powder,lime and required amount of water & salt.
  • Presuure cook it for 3-4 whistle.
  • Season it with mustard,curryleaves,hing .
  • Granish with coriander leaves.
Tip
Goes well with rice or u can take it as soup.
