Carrot Beans Poriyal


Ingredients
Carrot-1
Beans-1cup
Onion-1/2
Mustard-1/4tablespoon
Urad dhal-1/4tablespoon
Cumin-1/4tablespoon
Red chilli-1 or 2
Coconut Gratings-1tablespoon(optional)
Oil-1tablespoon
Salt-as required


Method
  • Chop carrot and beans into medium sized pieces.
  • In a kadai,add oil,mustard,urad dhal,cumin,red chilli,when it starts popping,add onion.
  • When onion gets transparent,add carrot,beans and salt.
  • Sprinkle little water and cook the vegetables in low flame.
  • Garnish with coconut gratings(optional)
