Beans Paruppu usili



Ingredients
Beans-1cup
Oil-2tablespoon
Mustard-1/4tablespoon
Urad dhal-1/4tablespoon
Jeera-1/4 tabespoon
Onion-1
Curryleaves-few
Red chili-1

For grinding
Channa dhal-1/2cup
Toor dhal-1 tablespoon
Cumin-1/4 tablespoon
Red chilli-2


Method
  • Soak channa dhal and toor dhal in water for one hour.
  • Grind channa dhal with salt coarsely.
  • Remove the vapour in the grinded paste by steaming it in idli vessel.
  • Boil the chopped beans until it is half cooked.
  • Heat oil in kadai,add mustard,urad dhal,jeera,red chilli.
  • When it starts popping,add onion when it turns brown,add the steamed paste.
  • Cook the dhal for few minutes in low flame.
  • Add the cooked beans to the dhal.
  • Allow it to cook until beans is fully done.
Tip
This recepie can be served with rice as side dish.
Dont grind channal dhal into fine paste.
