Banana Flower Vada(Valaipu vadai)


Ingredients

Bannaflower(Valaipu)-2cups
Channa dhal-1/2cup
Red chilli-4
Fennel-1/2tablespoon
Ginger-a small pod
Garlic-2pods
Onion-1
Curry leaves-few
Corriander leaves-few
Salt-as required
Oil-1cup

Method
  • Remove the white petals in between the banana flower.
  • Soak channa dhal for 1hour in water.
  • Finely chop Onion,curryleaves,Corriander leaves.
  • Grind banana flower,channa dhal,red chilli,fennel,ginger,garlic into coarse paste.
  • Mix the chopped onion,curry leaves,corriander,salt to the grinded paste.
  • Heat oil in kadai,deep fry it in oil.
  • Remove it from oil as soon as it is cooked i.e brown.
Tip
This recepie can be served as starter,snack or along with rice.
