Pudhina/Mint Pulav


Ingredients
Basmathi rice-1cup
Cinnamon-1
Clove-1
Bay leaf-1
Onion-1/2
Ghee-1/2tablespoon
Salt-as required

For Grinding
Mint/Pudhina-1/2 bunch
Corriander leaves-1/4cup
Fennel-1/2tablespoon
Green chillies-2
Ginger-a small piece
Garlic-2pods
Coconut-3tablespoon

Method
  • Grind all the ingredients to be grinded into fine paste.
  • Soak basmathi rice for 15minutes in water, drain the water and keep it aside.
  • In a pan,add ghee,cinnamon,cloves,bayleaf.
  • Add onion,when onion onion gets transparent,add the grounded paste.
  • Saute for few minutes,add salt.
  • Mix the sauted masala with the rice and pressure cook with 1 1/2 cup of water.
  • Garnish with fried cashew nuts.
Tip
This recepie can be served with raitha and curries.
