Veggie Koftha Gravy

Ingredients
Onion-1 
Tomato-1
Green chillies-2
Cumin seed-1/4tablespoon
Ginger-a small pod
Cinnamon-1
Cloves-1 
Cardamon-1
Chilly powder-1 tablespoon 
Coriander powder-1 tablespoon 
Garam masala-1 tablespoon
Curd-1/4 cup 
Poppy seed-1/2 tablespoon 
Cashewnut-5
Grated coconut-2 tablespoon 

For Koftha
Vegetable-1/2 cup 
(carrot,beans,potato)
Cornflor-1 tablespoon 
Maida-1/2 tablespoon 
Salt-as required
Chilli powder-1/2 tablespoon
Oil-2cups
Method
  • To make koftha, boil all the vegetables and smash it.
  • Add cornflour,maida,chilly powder& salt. mix well.
  • Make small balls, deep fry it in oil.Keep it aside.
  • For the gravy, heat oil in a pan,add cinnamon,cloves,cardamon,& onion fry it well.
  • Add ginger and tomatoes fry it well.
  • Grind all the sauted ingredients into a fine paste.
  • Soak poppy seeds and cashews for 1 hr. Grind it with coconut.
  • Add oil in kadai,cumin seeds and grinded onion,tomato paste.
  • Add chilly powder, coriander powder,garam masala powder and salt.
  • Cook for 2-3 mins.
  • Add grinded coconut paste.
  • Add fried veggie ball in the gravy.
  • Garnish with corriander leaves before serving.
Tip
This dish goes well with chappathi, poori.
