Ingredients
Channa dhal(Kadalai paruppu)-1cup
Onion-1
Red chilli-1 or 2
Green chilli-1 or 2
Ginger-a small pod
Garlic-2 pods
Corriander Leaves-few
Curry Leaves-few
Fennel-1tablespoon
Salt-as required
Oil-2cups
Method
- Soak Channa dhal for about 2 to 3 hours in water.
- Grind channa dhal,fennel,red chilli into coarse paste(do not add more water).
- Chop onion,ginger,garlic,corriander leaves,curry leaves,green chilli finely,salt.
- Mix well all the chopped ingredients with the grinded paste without water.
- Make small balls out of the batter, flatten it lightly and shape them into round.
- In a kadai,add 2cups of oil,deep fry them in oil until it turns brown.
