Puli Sadham(Tamarind Rice)


Ingredients
Rice-1cup
Tamarind-a big lemon sized/1tablespoon of tamarind paste
Oil(Gingelly oil)-1tablespoon
Mustard-1/4tablespoon
Urad dhal-1/4tablespoon
Hing-a pinch
Curryleaves-few
Red chilli-2
Peanuts-10
Turmeric powder-1/4tablespoon
Salt-as required


Method
  • Cook rice in pressure cooker.
  • Take tamarind juice out from tamarind.
  • In a kadai,pour oil,add mustard,urad dhal,curry leaves,peanuts.
  • When peanuts are fried,add hing,turmeric powder.
  • Finally,add tamarind juice.
  • Cook until the liquid becomes thicker.
