Ingredients
Dry beans(mochakottai)-1cup
Oil-2tablespoon
Mustard(Kaduku)-1/2tablespoon
Urad dhal(Ulunda paruppu)-1/2tablespoon
Cumin(Seraham)-1/2tablespoon
Onion-1
Curryleaves-few
Garlic-2pods
Tomato-1
Sambar powder-3tablespoon
Turmeric powder-a pinch
Tamarind juice-1/2cup
Salt-as required
Method
- Boil dry beans in water till it is soft.
- In a kadai pour oil,add mustard,uraddhal,cumin,garlic when it starts popping add onion,curry leaves.
- When onion gets transparent add tomato,turmeric,sambar powder,salt and add 2cups of water.
- When water starts boiling,add Dry beans allow it to boil,once it is half done add tamarind paste,allow it to boil until it is fully cooked.
- Garnish with corriander leaves.
Tip
Coconut paste can be added to make the curry thicker.
